In most states, a dealer with a complaint against its franchisor that it wishes to have heard by a decision maker with jurisdiction must protect themselves.

Has your franchisor sent you a letter telling you that your sales performance is deficient, improvements must be made, and similar critical issues?

If so, you must be proactive. Here is a revised checklist for action involving critical franchisor communications. We suggest that you use this to guide you in communications from your franchisor and how you may respond.
