Every week, we download key information about new car sales directly from Virginia’s Department of Motor Vehicles. The data we compile for these weekly reports includes new car registrations by county, individual VINs, which dealership sold the car, the lien holder, sales price and more. The data is based on the date that DMV processed the registration, which might not be the date of the sale.

For example, you can get important insights on how your current pricing for a vehicle compares to what a competitor – whether the same manufacturer or a similar model from another brand – recently sold its car.
The service is available on an annual basis, and you pay for the information that is most valuable to you.

Choose what your business needs
You can select reporting for just the county where your dealership is located – at low costs that start at just $150 for the entire year. Or you can opt for multi-county reports representing each of four geographic regions of the state, with those subscriptions starting at $1,500 annually. A separate subscription for statewide registrations of heavy trucks is only $378 for the year.
While VADA posts monthly reports by the manufacturer of newly registered cars, these subscription reports drill down deeper into every individual car sale. We also include a monthly summary that lists total sales by dealership.
Subscribers must sign a waiver that this information will not be used for marketing. You pay upfront for the calendar year, with rates prorated if you sign up after January.
