VADA Is Pleased to Welcome Senator Charles Carrico

The Virginia Automobile Dealers Association is proud to announce that Charles W. (“Bill”) Carrico, Sr., will be joining VADA as a Senior Field Representative for our Southwest Virginia region, beginning May 1, 2019. Mr. Carrico, 57, has been a member of the Virginia State Senate since 2012. He will retire from the Senate, where he has represented the 40th District, at the end of his current term in January 2020. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2012.

“We are honored that Bill Carrico has decided to join our team,” said VADA President and CEO Don Hall. “He has been an outstanding public servant, not only as an elected official, but before that as a State Trooper.”

“Bill will fill a position which currently is open,” said Hall. “The VADA has Senior Field Representatives in Northern Virginia, Tidewater and Central Virginia. Bill was the perfect fit for our position in the southwestern part of the Commonwealth, where we have 100-plus dealer members. He is highly regarded in Southwest Virginia, the area where he grew up and which he now serves.

“His duties will include ensuring that our members in that part of the state understand and get maximum benefit from VADA programs.

“He knows that part of Virginia well, and that makes his coming on board an especially exciting event for VADA,” said Hall.

Carrico was born in Marion, Virginia in 1961 and was educated at Chilhowie High School in Smyth County, Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon, and the Virginia State Police Academy in Chesterfield County.
