The VADA Group Self Insurance Association (GSIA) earned a Theo Award for its proactive workplace safety program, which helped reduce injuries at dealerships through practical measures.
Congratulations to Michael Allen, VADA executive vice president and GSIA executive manager, whose leadership was key to implementing initiatives like tire hangers to prevent lifting injuries and slip prevention efforts that made a real impact on worker safety.
The Theo, presented by Risk & Insurance magazine and National Comp workers' comp conference, was named for President Theodore Roosevelt, who enacted the country’s first significant workers’ comp legislation. The award recognizes "each piece of the puzzle that makes up a successful workers’ comp program."
“This truly demonstrates what teamwork can accomplish. The leadership of the VADA GSIA Board and plan Administrator Don Hall and the dedication of VADA staff combined with the field efforts of PMA’s Senior Risk Consultant Brenda Daugherty and her team have produced remarkable results for our members,” Michael says.
