Greetings from VADA,
We had a busy November, and December looks to be the same!
We kicked off last month with our VADA Board of Directors Meeting at the Commonwealth Club in Richmond. I want to personally thank everyone who traveled near and far to participate.
Additionally, we celebrated a major landmark in VADA history - our 75th year anniversary. We are proud of our roots and where we are today, as one of the top trade associations in the nation.
Our Fall Semester Virginia Dealer University was a great success, with dealership representatives across the state attending our Sales Seminar here in Richmond. We also held our November NextGen Meeting with up-and-coming dealer leaders under the age of 40. We are always looking to get more people involved, so if you are interested or know someone who is, please visit our site at www.vada.com/nextgen.
Of course, the elections throughout Virginia on November 6th were important both for Congress and the Commonwealth. At the state level, there are some relatively new faces in the Virginia House of Delegates. These are individuals we need to support and get to know as we approach the 2019 Session. We will be contacting you about our annual Dealer Day, Assault the Hill event, on January 17th.
With Thanksgiving kicking off our Holiday Season, I am always reminded of what is important: family, faith and supporting those who depend on you. We are blessed to work in such an amazing industry, and it is important we remember that. I am thankful for our members, our families and our troops who may not get to spend the holidays with their families. Their sacrifice allows us to enjoy our freedoms, and should not be forgotten.
December will be full steam ahead looking at the 2019 Virginia General Assembly. Already, we are working hard to represent our members and ensure they have an equal playing field when it comes to doing business in Virginia.
Sincerely,
Don Hall
